Citygraphy — Between urban politics and urban aesthetics is a research project investigating the representation of modern urbanity, in close collaboration with academics, essayists and photographers. The project examines the role of 19th-century photography in the consciousness and perception of the European city as a historic focal point. Edited by Dirk Lauwaert, with contributions of Peter Rotsaert, Steven Humblet, Steven Jacobs, Christina Kott, Maarten Delbeke, Bruno Notteboom and Dirk Lauwaert.
The artistic coordiator of the project was Dirk Lauwaert.
